Review of Gin & Rum Festival Glasgow 2024
Unfortunately did not enjoy the experience. Very overpriced drinks. Music so loud that we couldn't hear each other or vendors. Very few gin vendors and very lengthy queues for meagre samples. Overcrowded. We didn't stay long. Very disappointed.

Review of Gin & Rum Festival Glasgow 2024
Loved this festival. The selection of rums and gin to choose from was excellent and the atmosphere was brilliant. Only thing that brought it down for me was the free gift at the end was a tin of some weird vodka and juice mix. Didn't think this fit in at all with the 'Rum and Gin' festival.

Review of Gin & Rum Festival Glasgow 2024
Overcrowded and overpriced. Some of the spirits were lovely. The tastings were stingy and the "c**ktail bar" was very underwhelming. Music was good but it was a struggle to hear the exhibitors or have a conversation. Thought it was a bit s**t that you have to hand back your wristband on the way out as it would have been a nice souvenir only to get a premixed can containing vodka (at a gin and rum festival) that looked like it came from a dodgy convenience store.

Review of Gin & Rum Festival Glasgow 2024
Great wee day out! Would have loved some extra table and chairs as we'd have been happy to stay longer and enjoy some food and more gin/rum. We all had the munchies so had to leave

Review of The Briggait
I was coming on to review the Gin and Rum festival but Allan's review below was 💯 spot on, add to that the vendors cleared up by 8pm 2 hours into the event, absolute rip off the worst gin festival I've been to. My cousin described it as Willy Wonka experience part 2, we were waiting on the "unknown" creeping out from behind the bar.

Review of Gin & Rum Festival Glasgow 2024
The total cost to me for my tickets was £46.73 which consisted of £36 for two tickets, SMS fee 0.15p,Refund protection £4.95 , charity donation £1.00. And myself and my wife felt totally cheated, the venue was totally oversubscribed you could hardly get moving, the tokens for drink of your choice were priced at £6.50 per token for a 25mil measure and had a very limited selection of juice to go with my dark rum! (Only pineapple) on entry they searched our backs and I had three small sealed bottles of water which I needed to take my medication and Diabetes told we could collect them on way out and could get water inside the venue free! On entry we were given a small gin & Rum festival bag with a brochure listing all drinks available plus an aluminium cup and stainless steel straw along with very small love corn snack 10 gram, O on departure we only stayed under an hour we were given 250 mil premium vodka drink can! IT WAS A GIN & RUM festival. There was no interaction with any suppliers only two that I could get to ,one with gin other with rum limited to two samples per customer in total a disaster, we have been to many a gin and rum festival over the years and this was the worst We have ever experienced. By the way the free water was available from the tap behind the bar if it wasn't for the chap at the token desk who I told I needed water to take p***s It would have been worse. IN OTHER WORDS WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS EVENT TO ANYONE. And I am astonished that Schweppes was involved in sponsorship of this event it needs looking into.

Review of Gin & Rum Festival Glasgow 2024
Venue was good. Liked the re-usable cups & straws. Music was too loud to hear what the vendors were trying to say about their different spirits. Father & Son duo singing English rugby theme The Gambler in a Scottish venue? No applause there then. Good selection of British & World gins. Street food was good with veggie options. Disappointing the free exit gift at a Gin & Rum festival was a RTD can of Vodka...

Review of Gin & Rum Festival Glasgow 2024
When you add the ticket price to the drink price you're £92 for 8 drinks, that's pretty expensive I reckon. Also the ticket says 6.30pm to 10.30 pm but they stop serving at 9.45. On a positive the vemue is lovely and the food was good and it is nice to try different drinks.
