Our next property masterclass is happening at The Village Hotel in Glasgow on the 8th October!

Our guest speakers are:

> Barry Wilson - Property Developer, Kraken Property Group

Barry is an investor and strategist with extensive experience in property investment. He possesses deep knowledge of the residential property market in Glasgow and the surrounding areas. Barry founded Kraken Property Group to help individuals build wealth through property. As a property sourcer specializing in buy-to-let properties, his role is to identify suitable properties that align with his clients' investment criteria and present them with potential opportunities.

> Sean Fraser - Solicitor, Carey Hughes 

Sean is a Senior Solicitor at Carey Hughes Solicitors, specialising in all aspects of residential and commercial property. After training with Carey Hughes, Sean undertook an opportunity with a specialist commercial firm in Glasgow to expand his knowledge into commercial legal services and returned to Carey Hughes in the summer of 2023 to develop that service from within.

Sean has a particular interest in acting for clients in auction transactions and has assisted many clients in their auction sale/purchase journey. 

> Doug McFadzean - Architect, McFadzean Studio

Douglas is the founding Director of McFadzean Studio. After graduating from Edinburgh University and Edinburgh College of Art, he worked for practices such as Anderson Bayne, NGP Architects and West Lothian Council. Doug has worked on a wide range of projects, from schools and hospitals to domestic and commercial properties. He currently oversees building regulations, designs and technical matters.

Doug’s presentation will provide a brief outline of how the planning process and building warrant process works, including what does and does not need permission. He will discuss case studies of projects he has been involved in to assist clients in adding value to their properties, with hints and tips on how these strategies can be replicated. He will also gladly answer all questions related to building alterations, extensions and conversions.

Following their presentations, our guest speakers will be available to network giving you the chance to quiz them on their areas of expertise. There will also be the opportunity to network with fellow attendees at the event, so you can share your troubles and triumphs in property, and ultimately learn from each other's experiences.
