Forgotten jewel with oodles of atmosphere,  plus a fantastic live act.

Review of The Blow Monkeys

Loved the pub and band it was full on in front off you,much more intimate and a great vibe.

just absolutely brilliant live performance.

Friday night 7/7/ 2017 oh my god I was a teenager again along with my partner Tracy Dadson seeing our 80's icons live in French's Hastings our hometown. 
The group have not changed really after all these years and sang old hits as well as new songs and the music was just as excellent as when they formed 30 years ago. 
Dr Robert although older now has lost none of his charismatic looks and his distinctive voice through the set. 
He is a fantastic friendly man and very polite towards people and signed one of his groups cd:s for us both to share together for years to come. 
The venue was a ideal place to play by size.  Icons like them tend to play and enjoy their music better with a small crowd because that is how it should be old skool to their loyal followers in their music than playing in stadiums or arenas where you don't get the benefit of being up there close to them. 
It's a night I shall always remember and never forget that special night with the Blow Monkeys in our hearts to enjoy for years to come 
Only criticism I say is that we never had a chance to have a photo opportunity with Robert and the Blow Monkeys although I asked if there was a opportunity with a professional photographer you could buy as your own personal souvenir of that special event. 
If Dr Robert and the Blow Monkeys play down here again next year or a even later in year in Hastings again we will be digging and enjoying their scene for sure again.

The guys may look older but their sound and musical ability was right on point.
Shut your eyes and you were transported back 30 years 
The fact that the band were happy to chat and sign memorabilia after made it a fantastic evening 

Was a  evening full of great music, nostalgia and friendly atmosphere.
