Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
Where to begin with this review for the Lookalike/Outdoor Tribute Festival?
YES the security was heavy handed & over the top at times,
YES there was long queues for the (few) food stalls,
YES the VIP area was behind the stage area (feel sorry for those who paid for these tickets),
YES those who HAD been sitting down earlier were then asked to move to back of the area,
YES there was long waits between the music acts (who were ok),
YES the drinks were expensive & NO there was no refillable water available (despite being told that empty water bottles would be allowed inside venue!)
NO we didn't know who would be appearing on stage next,
NO we couldn't get any updates or information from the website beforehand,
NO we can't recommend it AND Skiddle should think again about being associated with this company.
With the cold weather coming in at the end, it was a long day which ended unpleasantly!!

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
The music was really good even though there was only 4 of the listed acts playing, others were replaced with those not listed. Security entering tried to take the bag of skittles I had in my bag for my insulin dependant diabetic husband off of me saying no food allowed, I stated what they were for (if he goes low in sugar they bring it back quickly and can quite literally save his life) they reiterated no food. I said loudly you can't take it off us, at this point another security lady came over and said we were allowed 1 bag of sweets (I only had 1 bag anyway). Security didn't bother actually looking in tge rest of my handbag and I could of quite literally been carrying anything. We entered the venue carrying our chairs and decided to set up near the stage area. Later on 3 acts in, Security interrupted the act on stage to say no seating on the floor near the stage, they then came around heavy handedly and said we couldn't sit in our chairs there either. I asked why they didn't tell us that at the start or when they saw us enter the venue with chairs, they just said things change! We moved but others were carried out by Security by their arms and legs for having chairs there. Later we saw Security chasing people through the crowd which were told they looked like someone who got drinks from the bar and didn't pay, they had no drinks and when taken by force back to the bar the bar staff said it wasn't them, no apology given to them. The bars ran out of draft beer at 3pm (they only opened the gates at 12.45!) The bar staff said it was because they had been busy of Saturday night. The 3 food vans were running out if food basically the option was sausage and chips, chips, cheese on chips or nuggets and chips. I queued for over an hour and a half for 4 sausage and chips. The van were taking 5 orders, cooking those orders, giving the food out and then taking the next orders, they were not being quick about it, and I completely missed an act. Once we got the food for £32.50, they said sorry there wasn't many chips but I would need to wait 10 more minutes if I wanted full portions, it was very average. When I got home after the event I had to make us all dinner to fill us up before bed. Overall it did not feel family friendly, if you can't take food and drink in then there should be enough on site to cover the amount of tickets sold for the event. People who left to get food weren't allowed back in and I know of several families who were split us because this was not clear when they left. I'm so glad e didn't pay extra fir the VIP pass as their seating area was behind the stage up in the air, this meant they could not see the acts on stage, they could not hear the acts on stage and they were exposed to the wind blowing across the pier so they all looked frozen, I think the only benefit they had was the toilets, we had portaloos which weren't great but also not the worst I have seen, I thought they would be portaloos so I took my own tissues and hand sanitiser to make the experience better.

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
Absolute s**tshow of an event.
The v.i.p area had a view of the back of the stage. The security was hired thugs. Saw them being over physically with customers. Half the acts advised didn't turn up. Run out of food and drink. And skiddle doesn't seemed bothered.
My advice is to avoid Hastings pier under it's current management

Review of An Outdoor Orchestral Rendition of Dr Dre: 2001
Paid for tickets for an event from 5pm to 10pm with various acts and a main event. No acts turned up to perform and the main event was 8pm till 9.15pm. Will never use skiddle again. Absolute waste of money.

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
My daughter who has gluten allergy was made to throw away her food which she had prepared at home. And when we asked if we could go out at a later time to get her food we were told we could not return... that's disgusting as there was not enough choice of food and drinks especially for someone with food allergies. We had to leave early when our intention was to stay into the evening and booked a hotel room too as we had travel from London.
Why wasn't wrist bands issued to allow re entry.
Why wasn't there fresh water fountains for people to fill up their water bottles?
Why wasn't there specialised food stalls?
A very disappointing and expensive day. Definitely will not be recommending it to anyone.

Review of An Outdoor Orchestral Rendition of Dr Dre: 2001
The original ticket said 5pm-10pm and also, last entry 5pm! This didn't make any sense so on the day we checked the website which said 7pm start.. we arrived at 6pm and we allowed into the venue but the gig was delayed until 7.45 and then it ended just after 9pm (after they repeated a couple of tracks.. )
Over promised and under delivered.

Review of Jurassic Pier - Hastings Family Fun Day (ADDITIONAL DATE)
It was too busy with everyone pushing and shoving to see one dinosaur in the middle in the cornered off section. I thought there would be more dinosaurs for the event and would rather pay for tickets in future for a proper dinosaur event and then see more dinosaurs, rather than it being free with nothing else to do in between waiting hours for the dinosaur appearances except spend lots of money on the rides. The DJ lady was great and the one dinosaur we did see was brilliant.
