Review of Jurassic Pier - Hastings Family Fun Day
My boys were really looking forward to this and were massively disappointed. There was nothing really for them to see and nothing to do and just a real let down. Nothing like it was advertised

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
This had the potential to be a great event for music lovers of all ages. Due to overzealous security staff it became a complete farce. Entry to the event took so long as 8 security staff let between 4 and 6 people in at one time, each to have their possessions meticulously searched and bottles of water trashed in a massive wheelie bin.
After 4 hours a burly security guard walked on stage, interrupted the 'Step Into Elton' tribute to tell the crowd they were no longer allowed to sit down and any deckchairs had to be moved to the very back of the venue, almost out of site of the stage.
A large number of security staff stormed the audience whilst the act was still on stage, and were moving old ladies from their deckchairs to the back of the venue. The lady in front of us was in her mid-eighties with her friend in her seventies. These ladies had arrived early and had enjoyed 4 hours of the event and caused no harm or bother to anyone. Of course they needed to sit down.
Other members of the audience decided to sit down in defiance and in support of the elderly ladies being moved on. In a tit-for-tat manoeuvre, security guards the lined up in front of those seated in order to block their view.
A pathetic and disgusting use of power. I am extremely surprised an incident did not occur.
A little later, a member of security leapt off the stage (there were four of them lined up on the front of the stage), jumped the railing, run through the crowd to remove a little girl from the shoulders of her dad. I saw this happen twice.
The tribute acts were OK (none of whom were on the bill posters) until an 'Insult' to The Spice Girls came on screeching and howling. A few seconds later we left in disgust.
A truly awful event!

Enjoyable music but there it ends .. no re-entry allowed, bars all sold out of most things by 3pm except overpriced cans. Scowling, glaring over-zealous overly physical security staff. Dreadful organisation! Never again!

Review of Hastings Pier
The general public was lovely at andy c 😍 I witnessed a lot of problems with the heavy handed security. I did leave a reveiw but it was not there so I will write again.the heavy handed security clearly wanted to fight the general public. I stayed till the end personally no problems, witnessed wise a problems..
1. On arrival we saw some guy be picked up by 3 big security chucked to the floor.
2. We did go in reluctantly even after witnessing this... security dogs not all people are OK with dogs
3.airport security even worse what you actually checking for ? baccy,wallets shoes off,check under feet,body search,I'd scan , thoroughly bit much tho..
4.chucked bottles of water away on a hot day.
5.no water taps anywhere.
6. £2 for a bottle of water.
7. Rude bar staff 😒 unessary was not even a queue
8ran out of beer.
9. Toilet queue could have done with some urinals male or females
10. We all ready been searched upon entrance ,you done your bit so why after 2 hours getting into the music the vibe was good,
why did heavy handed 6 security guys come barge people out the way and start researching people again also with the sniffer dogs again! We are all ready in at this point and therefore should be able to enjoy ourselves once in not that I had anything to hide but literally to barge people out the way. A lot of people left ,how to empty out the venue with bad vibes from the security
11. I walked past 2 security where they said I reckon we should just bash these hippy up.
12. I do not feel they where there for the safety of the people, someone was out of line and next minute 6 security grabs some guy in the queue of the toilets. Some undercover security felt like was run by some hard nuts.in all of my festival years I have never witnessed such intermediation from security.
And I did not have a problem personally I stayed till the end but I did feel uneasy with the security heavy handed approach to people that want to have a good time and have paid to have a good time. I reckon 100 odd people left u only need to do security checks once not do again once inside. Left a lot of people feeling like leave us alone each time big pumped up security came felt like the fun police lol..
I had a great time tho I met some really lovely people the vibe was so festival. From young to old I never felt the public was a problem but your security massive bully problem. No water disgusting felt a bit on purpose to make you Buy £2 water 😕 should have been free and hopefully no one collapsed due to dehydration.i think the pier has great potential 👍 just start again with new staff and water please...wicked time tho
Review of An Outdoor Orchestral Rendition of Dr Dre: 2001
Very disappointed with this event, could have been so much more. Arrived at time of event, sent away and told to come back hour later, £7 per pint, very cold, no back up just poor taped music, event started 4 hours late. Strings drowned out through massaging 2 dudes ego's. Very poor, left early.

Review of Jurassic Pier - Hastings Family Fun Day
The lady doing the games with the children was saying some very inappropriate jokes towards the children that myself and many other parents there were shocked at. She said to the children âyour better at staying still than my nan, and sheâs dead. Sheâs very deadâ also when playing another game she asked the children if they had hurt their bums and asked if they wanted her to kiss it better. Again she also played a game with the children and joked that they should put their bums together and shake itâ I find all this quite inappropriate for the ages of the children that the event was aimed at. I also feel that there was not really much available to do besides buy overpriced toys or spend money going on the rides that are already available to use at any other time on the pier. Also the dinosaur encounters were very short and mt children didnât even get to see them properly due to all the children pushing past them for a split second glimpse at the dinosaurs
