Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
Where do I even start to begin..
Turned up and while waiting to get in we noticed that Security where taking everyone food and drinks and just chucking it in the bin when we asked if we could take food in we was told no as they had food stands on the Premises when we explained that we has 4 children with high Additional needs ( we was a party of 6 Adults and 8 children) and due to this they only eat Certain things due to being Autistic we was told by the security that it wasn't their problem. We asked to speak to the person in Charge, you proceeded to come over eating sweets out of his pocket, but he still did not care and told us that it was not his problem and we couldn't take it in. Once we got to the bag Search after taking the food back to the car security Proceeded to check my two-year-old's nappy bag to even take it as far to spray her nappy cream on his finger to make sure it was actually cream. As I went to go through, he noticed the bottles underneath my buggy which were for my children. He then made me empty them out. And when I tried to explain that my two-year-old Needed the bottle to drink from as she wasn't going to be drinking alcohol or anything and couldn't drink from a cup he told me if I didn't empty it he wouldn't let us in. Once in we set up in front of the stage to start to enjoy our day only to be Greeted by arianda Grande, which wasn't even advertised. I Decided to go and speak to the security again. Regarding the food for our children as they were starting to get hungry and as there was only a burger bar and a sweet stall wasn't anything for them to eat admittedly The gentleman I spoke too was very nice and I showed him my sons EH CP and other medical Evidence Once he had read that he was more happy to let me bring the food in but no sooner then I had brought it back 2 Security guards pulled me too 1 side and started having ago at me I again explained I had spoken to someone in Charge and showed him medical evidence regarding our childrens Dietary requirements due to autism. One of the security guards started calling me a lier and tried telling me he was in charge I Describe who I had spoken to and even offered to take them to him so they could see I wasn't lying but was told no they would speak to him them self's as just because you have additional needs don't mean you need to have your own food when you can buy it there. Within 10 minutes, saw the same security guards again and asked, if everything was OK And if thed spoken to their boss, they bluntly told me, yes, they had, and that was it no apology? No nothink. Overall, how experience was something I can't explain? The bars had run out a drink by half one. The only decent act was Elton John. The Spice Girls sounded like 5 drunken girls in an alleyway, leaving a nightclub on the way to get a kebab before heading home After sitting at the front for 4 hours security Come over, and basically dragged us out the way with 2 buggies and 6 children Security even proceeded to pick up a person with cerebrable palsy and drag them by their arms out of the way Drinks were way over price and by what I've heard food was as well. The toilets were ok as there was people looking after, but at one time I took my young child in to one and to my horror Someone had smeared their own faeces all over the walls, the toilet in the door. Was very disappointed None of the acts where advertised were on And the ones that were just ridiculous, the only one that was decent was Elton John, the rest of them, I wouldn't have even paid them. Will definitely not be Attending anything like this again and will be telling people and making sure they do not experience what we and others did.

No published line up or timings. Arrived at 2pm to be told no readmittance once inside. When inside all draught beers had run out. Only cans at £6 each. No mention of this when entering as we would have come back later in day. Rip off.

Shambles ran out of draft beer by 3pm and food by 4pm. Wouldn't let you out to get food so had to leave by 5.30pm and wouldn't let us back in. Definitely not going next year

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
We purchased VIP tickets with the expectation of spending that bit extra to experience slightly better! It was a 60th birthday present for my husband. Firstly we queued with everyone else to get in. Obtained VIP wristbands but not told where to go had to work that out ourselves figured out the VIP area was a lovely area upstairs with limited seating with glassed area around to shelter you from the wind (one side!) with a rather small bar. Well this would have been great if it wasn't facing the back of the stage so not only did you not have any view of any of the acts but couldn't even hear it!!! No speakers... Not even a screen up there!! ..... nothing... I will say all we heard was absolutely everybody complaining about the same thing!! Why on earth this venue hadn't pushed the stage further up the pier and turned the stage around goodness knows?? Then everyone would see!!! Those down below and those upstairs!!! And then at 5pm when the bar decided they were putting the prices up another £1 a pint and c**e £2 for small on tap cup that did for us what a bloody joke! We went down and joined the others paid the lower price for drinks and joined in with a better atmosphere where you actually hear the music which wasn't the best I have to say. But with alcohol a lot didn't care (lol) Many people didn't even stay & I honestly don't blame them. We left early too. Loads of acts didn't even turn up.... Oasis, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, and others quite poor really. Would I go again ... NO. Would I buy VIP tickets ... definitely not here!!! Absolute waste of money... you get less for your money!!!

The acts that were billed did not turn up. Acts that weren't supposed to be there replaced them but weren't in the style of music as those that should have been there! No Bowie, Fleetwood Mac or Oasis who were originally on the line up! Spice girls replaced 2 days before. No apologies from anyone and no one even told us they weren't coming! No timings released on the day for acts either. Shocking management!
The VIP area was behind the stage- you couldn't see the acts at all or hear them very well.
The VIP toilets were not manned and anyone could use them. Paying double for VIP tickets was an absolute con!
The food options were very limited which given that you can't bring food in or leave to get any, was wrong and dangerous for people with medical conditions. The queues were over an hour for some stalls and the food also run out!!
The drink as usual was overpriced and also run out. Not being able to even take in water is wrong!
The security seemed to be over reacting to things and up to 8/10 could arrive to deal with something.
On a good note the atmosphere was really good. People did enjoy the music that was played. We enjoyed the Elton John and Beatles tribute.
It was my partner's first festival and not a good one to encourage him to do more!

The "Abba" girls sounded like two cats screeching on a roof. The "Paul" in the Beatles sang out of tune and the "Freddie" not only looked like Adolf Hitler but sang like him. When the notes rose too high for his limited range he just mouthed the words silently. On the plus side, the "Ariana" and the "Spice Girls" were excellent acts, and the "Elton" tribute was a good singer and pianist, and I was impressed with his ingenious DIY plywood folding piano. Not impressed at paying £6.50 for a can of cider which costs £9 for 10 cans in Sainsbury. And LIVID that as a 66 yr old disabled woman my unopened 500ml bottle of water was confiscated at the entrance due to "terrorism".

Acts were good, but venue very poor, the security staff were awful, bullies, didn't even allow you to bring in water, forcibly throwing out eldery people for minor infringements. Food queues awful and they run out of most food.

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
The tickets were a bargain at just over £16 each, and although tribute acts vary in quality, we certainly had lots of live music for the money. Of the acts The Beatles were a bit hit and miss, Rod Stewart was OK, but Elton John, Arianna Grande and ABBA were all good, especially ABBA, whilst The Spice Girls were excellent. The food was a bit limited but the falafel wrap and chicken we ordered were both good and freshly cooked, and at £10 each were hardly extortionate, as was the cookie dough which my daughter ordered. The bars however were a different story! Both of them had run out of draught beer by about 2pm, and although cans were available they were very limited in range and ludicrously overpriced. A single measure of spirit and a mixer was also very expensive, so we drank very little when there. Another problem was the fact that we were prevented from bringing food and drink into the venue and if we left we were forbidden to re enter - surely wrist bands or hand stamps could have been provided. The security staff were quite heavy handed and on more than one occasion ordered people with seats to move to the back (why?). The atmosphere was generally very pleasant and the music good, but the organisation was flawed and running out of draught beer two or three hours into an all day event is frankly unacceptable. All in all it was an enjoyable day out, but it could have been better.

The music was good. The organisation was extremely poor. Ran out of certain beers. No sparking wine Prosecco except in VIP. We paid for VIP NO ABILITY TO SEE THE ARTISTS ON THE STAGE!! There were Q's for loos and bars in VIP. We paid £35 each for VIP and spent the time with other guests so we could see the artists. Most of the huts on the pier were closed so very limited food opportunities. We will not go to an event on the pier again unless we can be assured of better service.
