Review of An Outdoor Orchestral Rendition of Dr Dre: 2001
The event was supposed to start at 5pm. It was then moved to 7pm without any notification, if we hadn't of checked the app we would have got there 3 hours early. When we did enter they announced that it wouldn't be starting until 7.30pm this was at 7pm! Then after a long wait the band started playing at 8.30pm (this event was supposed to finish at 10 but it rapped up at 9.30pm) the full orchestral experience was disappointing, it felt very scaled down and they did not play the full DR Dre 2001 album. The warm up music was not at all related to hip hop. Drinks were a rip off £7 for a pint. It all felt like they didn't want to be there I was surprised they showed up after waiting around for nearly 3 hours. Not at all worth the money paid. Although the MC and the band members that did show up were very good. I also enjoyed a banging pizza on the way back to the hotel

Review of An Outdoor Orchestral Rendition of Dr Dre: 2001
I would like to complain about the organisation of the above event.
My ticket states that 'last entry' to the venue was 5pm, this meant that my partner and I needed to take the day off work in order to meet the 'last entry' requirements. Not a problem, we were excited for the event, until we arrive on the pier at 4.30pm to find that the event was still being set up and we in fact needed to return at 7pm! Bit annoying as we wouldn't have had to take the day off work to meet this time frame. Anyway, we return at 7pm to a queue the length of the pier... not a problem as we have VIP tickets which state we get 'queue jump'. So we approach the front of the queue asking where the VIP lane was and were told to return to the back of the queue and queue with the standard ticket holders. As we near the front of the queue we were asked if we had standard or VIP tickets... the people with standard tickets were moved to a separate lane which went through security quicker than the lane we were stood in?!
Due to the poor organisation, the set had to be pushed back from 7pm to 8pm so we tried to find our way to the 'VIP bar' which we were told by a security guard if we left the standard area we would not be able to re-enter so we stayed in the standard area. To make matters worse, we decided to chance our luck at 'leaving' the standard area to find VIP only to find out the 'VIP area' we paid extra for is BEHIND the stage with absolutely no view of what's going on! I have photographic evidence of all the aforementioned points.
We are utterly shocked at the poor organisation and rudeness of the security working this event, as a result we did not enjoy our night, which is such a shame as the performers were very talented!
Due to this I would like customer services to contact me regarding a refund. Thank you!

Review of An Outdoor Orchestral Rendition of Dr Dre: 2001
it said gate open at 6 finishes at 10 gate opened at 6.30 and they said music starts at 7 they then made an announcement it was gonna start at 7.30 and they actually came on at 8.10 and they finished at 9.15 and played 2 songs twice, for a 40 quid night out for 2 people I felt it wasn't great value for money, I don't really like heading home after a gig and lidl is still open when you pass it on your drive home, bar ran out of all pump beers half way through and the beer they were then selling in cans was warm, all in all a bit of a s**t show really

Review of An Outdoor Orchestral Rendition of Dr Dre: 2001
We arrived to be told the VIP area we paid extra for didn't exist and they were trying to make one. They ended up putting us in a bar behind the stage so we couldn't see the stage. The event was badly organised and started over an hour late and the music sounded like a bad karaoke. Very poor event!

Review of An Outdoor Orchestral Rendition of Dr Dre: 2001
Was refused entry with my son even though it was never stated it was an over 18s event. No information at pint of sale it was age restricted nor on any of the websites advertising the event. Travelled over an hour to the event, food, and booked time off work. Passed around for a refund too. Hoping that can atleast be resolved eventually

Review of An Outdoor Orchestral Rendition of Dr Dre: 2001
The orchestra did not deliver what was promised as advertised. They did not even play the whole of 2001, let alone other songs. Afterwards, they said that it was due to high winds. However, the wind had completely died by the time the concert began. Or if this was not possible should have been rearranged, or ticket buyers should have been given the opportunity for a refund. The whole gig lasted only 1 hour and 10 minutes. Extremely disappointing and would not recommend

Review of An Outdoor Orchestral Rendition of Dr Dre: 2001
I really hope this box will give me enough characters to comprehend how much of a sh*t show this was.
Some of this review will be based on the venue as opposed to the performance.
Firstly the entry / start time changed with no notification. With it initially saying the event started at 5pm with last entry being at 5pm (figure that one out) No last entry was meant to be 7pm but due to a lack of organising and fair ground style queuing people were still entering after 20:30.
The event was meant to start at 7pm, around this time there was one announcement to say that due to people still entering that they will be starting at 7:30.... no they actually started nearing 20:30 with the only announcement being at 7pm!
The sheer cost of drinks at the event was ridiculous.... £3.50 for a can of soft drink! And £23 for 2x doubles with mixers ! So by the time the ACTUALLY started I would have remortgaged and sold an organ on the black market to be able to drink.
So the event was advertised as the following..."This is no ordinary Orchestral event. Expect a full standing crowd, with performances from various DJ's, lyricists and singers as well as a full Orchestral Rendition of Dr. Dre's: 2001 album, followed by other of Dre's west coast classics."
The sound system was awful. 3 members of the "orchestra" used microphones not that you could hear these due to the poor sound quality.
Now this was not a FULL rendition of the album... Still DRE was repeated not once... not twice but 4 times !!! Well over half the songs were missed from the album.
Now I don't know much about orchestras but I could only see 7 people on the stage. Not the vibe I was expecting at all.
The whole event was wrapped up before 9:30pm! With the music before and after the event played by the pier DJ completely rubbish and not appropriate for the event.... "My grandma and your grandma sitting by the fire...." seriously.
I feel sorry for the people who paid for VIP because that was a bigger joke than the event itself.
Anyway the best part of the night was the kebab shop that we visited on the way home which wasn't affiliated with the event but I got a banging pizza.
