www.hertfordcornexchange.co.uk The Hertford Corn Exchange and Public Hall were built on the site of the old Butchers Market in 1857. Prior to that it was a prison until the old gaol was relocated. So one way or another over the years, the Corn Exchange in Hertford has a long and interesting history. Today it is a smart, modern venue with all mod cons - a far cry from the olden days we're pleased to say. One of the strengths we have at the Corn Exchange is flexibility. It is a venue that lends itself perfectly for so many different events. We offer a private function hire with full catering facilities which is suitable for wedding parties, celebration events and office parties at Christmas. We have a large dance floor with a stage, PA system & mixer, Lighting system and a full length licensed bar. This gives us opportunities to host a massive range of events from a dance class through to a full on rock concert. Additional stage hands are available to ensure the smooth running of your event, plus there is good disabled access to the venue.
