About

The £3.5 million Albemarle Music Centre was purpose-built for the Hull Music Service in 2007 as part of the St Stephen’s development. The building has a 300 seat auditorium, a 100 seat large performance space (which houses the double gamelan), and six further classrooms which are large enough for up to 30 people to meet. It provides accommodation for the administration of the Music Service and Music Hub and rehearsal spaces for the 21 ensembles which meet most weeks during term time. In 2017 it was the home of Radio 1's Academy.
