About

The Boathouse is a super friendly bar and cafe run by ex-boxer Derrick Daniel and Partner Alison. This is Barking's only riverside bar and has a lovely terrace with splendid views (especially at sunset) over the River Roding, the boats and barges. At weekends there are live DJs playing either vinyl or digitally plus live upcoming singers and established international artists too. From time to time you can also expect something rather different such as a Magic Show, cocktail making or watercolour class, Karaoke or a Music Quiz. Derrick, the owner, is a skilled cocktail maker who trained for 12 years in Copenhagen before setting up the Boathouse. Sample one of his concoctions at helf-price in the daily happy hour.
