Review of Belladrum Bar Tokens
The Bar Tokens are expensive but the real issue is that there was no cashpoint facility at the festival. The bar token facility provided a cash back service but at a more than ridiculous 10% fee. This is pure extortion on top of a festival that is already very expensive to attend.
Traders in the stalls were concerned that the lack of affordable cashpoint facility would have an impact on cash sales and unfortunately this seems pure greed from the point of view of the organisers.
Having bought bar tokens for the Saturday evening, most of the bars had then run out of cider which meant that my wife, who is coeliac, was unable to buy a long drink. We raised this with the bar token staff and asked for a refund on the basis that there were no long drinks available and were told that there was no option for refunding an unusable token.
I certainly could not recommend the bar token experience.

Review of Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival 2019
Great festival. Great people. Great bands.
Downside, poor drink selection at bars. No ATM machines for cash and they rip you off for 1% commision. The searching of bags and personal items is a bit polis state 😀

Review of Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival 2019
Another great festival! New position of Grass Roots tent was an improvement but festival would really benefit from a quiet venue for singer/songwriters and acoustic performers who aren’t able to compete with noise from garden stage. Having 3 openings to tent only encourages through traffic. Would be great to have fixed, purpose-built stage (eg in style of Country stage.).

Review of Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival 2019
Great event for families. Some of the prices especially for kids like ice cream was a rip off when they were spending their own pocket money etc. Clean fields was billed as quiet but all drunk people need to pass through it to leave via one of the entrances and they left their rubbish en route. Car parking as we left was a shambles with no traffic management system in place and we got a load of abuse from a parking attendant who then proceeded to light up a fag. Overall though we really enjoyed the whole experience and when my partners 14yr old decided to take herself off in a strop and not answer our calls the TLC welfare team were amazing. Will definitely return but perhaps without that particular child.

Fantastic festival with great music but amenities letdown again!!! Still not enough toilets in venue and campsite!!! Drinks were pricey with flimsy cups so ended up spilling half of them!

Review of Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival 2019
have been going to this festival for 8 years - first time I have been disappointed with it. Too many tickets sold , affecting the atmosphere and ability to enjoy it. Unable to even get access to some of the music due to the over-selling of tickets to accommodate people safely in the individual tents/arenas. too many young people admitted without the presence of an adult resulting in much drunken and rowdy behaviour. Ticket sales need to be reduced a little.
Queue management system could be improved too - day guests should not have to stand in same queue for bag searches as people with all their camping gear.

Review of Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival 2019
Belladrum is a great family festival lots of choices of music, the only downside is it's starting to get really busy with young teenagers especially on the Saturday in the last 2 years most noticeable with drunk teens, otherwise it would have been 5 stars for everything but food and drink prices.

Review of Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival 2019
It was a lot busier this year and the atmosphere was fantastic.. but we arrived very early so my family can set up and we had to wait in another field for 40 minutes then we had to wait for everyone else to park up and start queuing again to get into the campsite. The festival was brilliant and we all enjoyed it but then at the end after getting packed up early to leave on the Sunday we were 4 hours in a field trying to get out on to the main road. Still love belladrum but hope next year the traffic flows a lot quicker.

Review of Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival 2019
I have been going to festivals all over the UK since the mid 1980s. This is one of the very best in every way. If you have the chance to go, then go, you will not regret it.

Review of Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival 2019
Logistics were an absolute shambles when attempting to leave on the Sunday, we waited 4 and a half hours before we were allowed to exit the car parks.
Food and drink prices were a rip off, I understand that a lot of the vendors paybinbthe tens of thousands for a pitch at the festival... But the prices were outright profiteering on a captive audience.
Security was a joke, campsites trashed by young yobs and not a thing was done about it by security staff.
Clean fields campsite was not fenced off from the general campsite and cleanfields wristbands were not being checked allowing non cleanfields campers into the site.
Campsites were not effectively managed at all, there were no clear pathways between tents. Some campers are not experienced and they made errors in the set up of their tents, such as guy lines fully extended which in a festival environment only serves as a trip hazard and as a way of hampering people making their way back to their tents.
Toilets and water facilities were pretty standard, not much to complain about there other than some of the urinals were left in the open with no screening to maintain privacy.
Waste facilities were inadequate for the number of people on site. Every wheelie bin and skip was full, every day without fail and they were not being emptied as regularly as they should've been.
Campers should be made to clean up after themselves, some of the camps I walked through during the weekend looked as if a grenade had gone off in them. Tins, broken glass, plastic, cardboard, human excrement... These all pose a serious risk to other festival goers.
The family campsite wasn't too bad, but general was like wading through a landfill.
Cordons should be placed around the toilet and water facilities... People were camping directly across from them and then suffering run off from the overflowing urinals and toilets... Major hygiene and health issue there.
I noticed there were no security towers at the campsite entrances and along the roadways.. These are standard at large festivals so a good lookout for fire, fighting, and other antisocial behaviour can be maintained.
Waste collection points along the roadways are also standard at large festivals, and should be implemented at the next Belladrum. People can drop their bags of waste there and they will be collected by teams of stewards using argo-cats with trailers.
A bigger police presence would have been beneficial also, there were so many people who I seen taking drugs, smoking cannabis, and who were quite clearly in no fit state to look after themselves. There were also quite a few incidents of fighting and other antisocial behaviour, a bigger police presence may have helped to reduce this.
I still had a good time, the above points are just suggestions for improvements.
The acts were great, the atmosphere in the arena was buzzing and very happy.
I will definitely go back next year, but I do hope to see some improvements made.

Review of Belladrum Bar Tokens
i Bought my bar tokens before the festival last year and it’s was so handy so I was so happy I could do it again this year and it saves time in queuing up. Excellent idea I wish I could do it at other gigs and festivals.
