Review of The Gathering
Well organised for a new event, helpful stewards, may have to look at queueing issues between the bars and the food outlets. Wasn’t easy with kids who suddenly feel hungry and get upset by the long wait.

Review of The Gathering
Amazing atmosphere esp during Vatersay Boys set. Folk relieved the weather was great, toilets cleaned throughout, but the bar organisation was spoiled by a strange queue system. Some folk in line for an hour. Would have lost them a lot of money, but easily improved upon if it’s on again. Plenty to see and do. Second stage great idea but maybe have it side on to the main stage as it’s quieter acts were drowned out. Really enjoyed it but had we been wanting a drink that would have been a real bug bear. Hats off though, as it was a great mix and good price for ticket itself for range of talent on offer. Shame for both organisers and Peat and Diesel that their stint was overwhelmed - main stage afternoon slot would have got the party started nicely and a wee cordoned off area in front of stage for little ones would have been a laugh.
Anyway very happy to have gone and had a great time. Hoa**e today with all the catching up with friends and singing so that’s a sign it was a success eh

I felt the main bar could have been further back from the stage. Folk in the wheelchair area spent much of the festival looking at the bar crowd which stretched across to the toilets at the other side of the park. Snake barriers would have greatly assisted with this.
Your Stewarding was very good and helpful as was the policing.
Choice of drink was far better than other concerts.

Review of The Gathering
The actual venue was perfect. However, there were huge queues for food and drink. As you’re not allowed to bring in your own and the event lasts for 10 hours, the queues were a problem. Even for people wanting only soft drinks, the issue was the same. There were also long queues for the toilets, but they were moving quite quickly. Full marks to the people keeping the toilets clean and stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitiser. Also full marks to the litter collectors, no obvious litter.
Elephant Sessions didn’t do it for me as a band and their set somewhat flattened the atmosphere. However, I do accept that they were part of the wide variety of traditional music on offer on the day.

Review of The Gathering
Had a very enjoyable day. The Trad project were amazing. Wish they could have played longer. The ticket price was too expensive especially for OAP' with no concession. ..The possession of the stage meant awkward viewing for the folks who paid extra to sit in the grandstand. ... Would I go next year ..??? it depends on the price of entry.
