From his first tour supporting the Pogues to 'Top of the Pops' to making it big in China to Q magazines top 5 momentsthatchanged music when The Crimea released ‘secrets of the witching hour’ as the first ever free album it was inevitable that MacManus would return to the stage at some point.

2024 sees the return of MacManus with the release of his book ‘The Bluster Boy’ accompanied by new material including a free album 'Even the trees know karate'

Bluster boy will was released on the 28th of August 2024 at a very special intimate event at Bridge Street Books Wicklow (voted the best independent bookstore in Ireland)
