Review of Icons Festival
All the bands gave good shows, however pointless VIP area. Practically empty grass bit in front of the stage even when the bands where playing. Food and drink prices too expensive. Sound wavered especially on AC-DC

Review of Happy Days Festival 2019
It was my first year at happy days, though I went to their first one at Moor Place - that was wicked.
The sound system was shocking - couldn’t hear, needed more tents of music, I was bored & looking at my watch at 5, didn’t think I’ll make it to 10.00 - atmosphere was rubbish, everyone I spoke to who went Saturday or Sunday said it was rubbish & wouldn’t bother going again. Also didn’t like the railings separating the commoners to the vip all the way down the to the stage. Done loads of VIP - people like to party together

Review of Happy Days Festival 2015
This was my first HAPPY DAYS Festival and overall I enjoyed it and I give it a B- (which some may think is generous). Lisa Stansfield brought home the bacon and saved it from an otherwise lacklustre music festival. She was A+ . The other acts need major improvements, be that stage presence, pace and speed, timing/ cueing/ scheduling, connecting with audience, etc. Nate James is cute and all and I think he is actually a great singer, but he was the wrong act to start the show (too slow and not uplifting enough). Roy Ayers is a legend, we all know that, but there was some confusion up there on stage and it turned into a somewhat monotonous, repetitive chaos. Jody Watley was my personal biggest disappointment as she does not only "steal" the Shalamar brand for herself, she also talks too much and does not sing enough. She needs a reality check for she ain't Miss Ross! I would even call her act "false advertising" for she thinks she can just pick some toy boys and continue a legacy that she is only a 3rd of. Ce Ce Peniston was great vocally but seemingly disappointed over the lack of interest in her act; she had to pick up after Watley and Limerick (loved the lilac dress!!) but could not connect with the audience, despite reiterating she had to fly over 11 hours to come here to do 2 numbers: I think she should have been given more time (but I guess Miss Watley has overrun with her endless talks)!! I was also slightly puzzled by the stage positioning and general layout of the grounds. I think the music wasn't loud enough and I felt sorry for the non VIP peeps who only paid £15 less (depending when they booked) but got a weird angled view (if any) and the relatively weak speakers were pointing in the wrong direction. I know you cannot please everyone, but there are some basic principles that need to be addressed. I believe the festival can still be successful but it needs a bit more emphasis on the "staging and pacing" for it is the MUSIC that most people come for (or is it the booze after all?). Still overall, I am happy that I went for I spend a great time with old friends and it was a peaceful and happy place despite the missing sun. Good luck for next year! XX
