Shy Horse

Originally named the Fox and Hounds, this pub restaurant used to be run by the Smith family during the late 19th Century. Although by 1894 it was only the father, William and his son, Arthur who were still running The Shy Horse. Today guests at The Shy Horse enjoy an easily accessible venue with its own gardens. A country pub oozing rural charm and rustic character, our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.
