Review of The BIG Fife Retro Gaming Event
Myself and son really enjoyed the kids session, it was great to show my son all the games and computers I enjoyed when I was as young as him. There was so much to try and my son never seemed bored and he really enjoyed the Mario kart tournament. Staff at the event were always walking around and there in a moments notice to help with any questions or support we needed. Thanks again everyone who helped put this event together

Review of The BIG Fife Retro Gaming Event
The event itself was great especially for the kids but we paid for tickets and we never had to show them and there was people in who never paid for tickets at all. Very disappointed in that but apart from that it was good

Not the venue for a children’s party if you’re going to pile too many people in. Badly managed unfortunately as I had high expectations. We left an hour and a half into it. The final straw was watching a member of staff walking into a sea of kids with 2 hot coffees!!

Many complaints -give you the worst;
1. Poor poor venue to have this too a confined space for 150 kids and their adults....and they’re kids so they need the adults with them.
2. Advertised as Paw Patrol yet only Marshall there......should have been Marshall from Patrol.
3. One face painter for 150 kids...?!?!
4. Food....a buffet for 150 kids, c’mon really? It has to be made easy for kids. A box with food and a drink in it to lift, maybe using a ticket system. Quicker, easier, cleaner, not so many adults could help themselves to a plate.
5. These are younger kids too, they can’t manage life themselves yet they absolutely need the adults with them. However, they were expected to give room and take part and not want Marshall??

Review of Jolly Jigglers feat Paw Patrol
I took my 16 month old son to the event on my own as did my friends so one adult to one child as per the details online advising to be mindful of how many adults accompanying the child. Unfortunately some people didn’t take note if this and brought the while family for a day out....(grandparents etc etc). Limited seating, unsecured venue especially if kids running about. I have seen a lot of complaints about adults near the dance floor, while I was not in the middle I was at the side as I wanted my son to enjoy the music and see the characters but I had to stay close by as he was so young and areas at each side had stairs. I appreciate maybe he was too young however he danced to the music and enjoyed himself as best as he could even though it was extremely crowded and he got knocked over by kids and adults. We actually left about 2.25pm as I didn’t want to wait any longer for the food. I was smart enough to feed him before we left but I was under the impression that they would be getting a lunch/snack box. It was a really warm venue and kids running about and dancing would work up an appetite, I believe the food was served after we left. The disco was great and the hosts and characters were fun. We didn’t queue for the face painting as it seemed a bit long and my little one would have gotten impatient. I appreciate this was the first one so maybe the following points could be taken into consideration?
Limited amount of adults or less tickets sold
Change of venue, maybe somewhere with a larger dance floor area and seating around so that children had more area to dance and adults could sit at the side (community hall?)
Food either given as an individual box early so then children could go back and forward to parents or table when hungry
Secure area or someone manning the door
More people face painting

was not much room and seating. was hard for kids to all gather round the entertainment area as overcrowded. Also food organisation and face painting was not set up well. ques out door which made it hard for people to get around. Just the the best venue for this type of entertainment. need a bigger hall with more space. kids still had a fun time 3 hours was quite along time tho.

the event was really good and well priced, however the only negative there was far to many people for the venue as it was overcrowded. the dance floor was far to small so was unable to watch your child. also you can't call it paw patrol when it's o my Marshall!

Far too busy. Most of the adults were eating the kids sweets. We had to ask staff for another plate of sweets as my kids didn’t get any as we had no seat. There were not enough seats for everyone. You had to wait an hour for a face paint and for food. The food was good and that was about it. There was no toilet roll in the toilets that we had to complain about. Fair too busy and not the right environment for a kids party. Would recommend either a large hall or having this event split over two days.
