Review of Carols by Candlelight Ashton Memorial

Brilliant performance all round. Singing was superb as was the band backing

We had an amazing experience really lovely.Cannot wait to see it again next year .

Really enjoyed the concert , but feel I should mention that I couldn't hear the performers very well when they spoke. I was in a group of 4 ( second row from the back on the left hand side of the entrance) and 3 of us struggle whenever the soprano moved her head away from the mic ( and we couldn't hear the conductor well who didn't use a mic). I mentioned this to the person who checked my tick*ts who said she could hear well from where she was sat at the back. I raised the issue in the interval as it was frustrating and I hoped it might be remedied in the second half as it seemed a straightforward problem to solve but the second half was as tricky as the first.  Wished  had sought out the sound engineer instead.  The singing was absolutely amazing though; we were delighte and would definitely go to another OO concert. Thanks!

Tonight's Carols by Candlelight at the stunning Aston Memorial, orchestrated with elegance by Outreach Opera, was nothing short of magical. My sincerest thanks to everyone involved in bringing such a captivating and unforgettable evening to life.

Music was superb. Setting beautiful but a bit cold. No mince pies or mulled wine! Tick*t didn't make clear that it didn't start until 7pm.  Didn't actually start until well after 7pm and we thought it started at 6.30pm. A great evening (despite no refreshments) and we'd definitely come again :)

Unbelievably amazing. What talent. The programme they chose was just perfect. So professional,  I was moved to tears at some points. All the audience was enthralled.  Thank-you Outreach Opera.
