Review of Halloween Body Snatchers Ball

A night of 2 1/2's; so not possible to fill in the tick box survey below. The show was great & the venue , even though in much need of repair. The sound system was just speakers perch don the side of the stage. The lights quite lacking. The set was good (adequate.) The after party was . . . down to the people who stayed and moved the tables & chairs themselves (no help from the staff?!) to try to create a dance floor. the DJ was a poor show who sat at the back saying 'it's ok. . . It's all programmed for 4 hours. The set (tracks lined up. ) were the lowest common denominator. if you're interested in some local profession help with some one who could create a deep 7 meaningful - appropriate , immersive after party experience , please phone Lucy on 07710405357. xx

The evening was mixed. The good things: the entertainment was largely very good although the compere did go a bit too much at times and some of the attendees made a good effort with costumes......the not so good, poorly stocked bar that ran out of ice and had a very limited variety of drinks and no quality spirits/wine. nobody on the door when we arrived at 9.15pm so no-one checked we had even paid! The venue could have been decorated more for Halloween, but the real bug bear was that after the cabaret finished-nobody cleared away the tables and chairs to allow for dancing, the main lights were left on so we danced in bright lights which ruined the atmosphere completely and there was a distinct lack of Halloween tunes to dance to (Ghostbusters and Thriller was all we heard). This was not a 'Ball' and I think the evening was a bit of a let down sadly. It should have been advertised differently. We spent a lot of money staying the night in the area and atmosphere is everything at a Halloween event and once the cabaret finished it fell away. Who wants to dance under bright lights?

As ever a fab ball in the winter gardens.fantastic programming from Goldust with brilliant compare.....great quality acts in such an amazing venue with friendly bar staff and welcome, we had a ball! It's a great excuse to dress up and the best bits the participants fantastic costume creations and atmosphere, we always end up chatting to lots of folks and having a great dance after the show, thanks Nez and crew!

The world top magicians burlesque and variety acts and an amazing corwd the best Morecambe has seen thanks to all the positive comments we got harry Aiken you seem to have been at a different night to everone else. The bar sold out and was well stocked and everyone else had an amazing time

Waste of money

Absolute waste of money, time and effort. The venue was freezing cold, the bar had no beer, the acts where shambolic and the compere seemed to be talking in tongues as no-one could understand more then 2 words in 10

Soul Casino

Strange night. I did not realize that the venue was under construction...walking in and seeing no plaster on the walls, ceilings missing etc etc it was strange. The biggest shock was a dance floor on a slope, unreal.
Music policy was allover the place, and since when as Colin Curtis become a warm up man for Jack & Wayne Hemingway??? Which by the way Wayne had to rescue Jacks set as the dance floor was grinding to a halt...Play to the crowd lad and you will not go far wrong.
Still apart from that it went ok.

I had a fantastic time, you will not top such an amazing venue, the crowd was friendly and completely up for it, I hope there's another soon

King Neptunes Ball

Fabulous! It was a perishing night warmer outdoors than in I think! BUT the entertainment was RED HOT! Can't wait til next year! :)
