Review of Highest Point Festival 2024
Great to see it busy on Saturday, maybe witnessing fewer drug deals would have been better . Security friendlier than previous years . Barriers seemed to go up very quickly at the end of the night , they tried sending us the long way round until I explained I was recovering from a fractured femur and one of the guys took pity on me . Itâs a shame about the poor turnout on Friday night - need to bring back hacienda classics - in my opinion the pinnacle of hp . Also maybe look again at the age restrictions? Last year my son was 18 but many of his friends were 17 , so none of them went . This year my 16 yo didnât go , because at 16 they can go to Kendal calling without an adult . I appreciate that a couple of years ago teens were a nightmare , but I do believe that was exacerbated by an enclosed rave tent and heavy handed security who were manhandling drunk/ drugged young women . Now the security team seem more respectful and seemed to be showing an empathetic approach which is refreshing to see , and maybe now is the time to readdress age restrictions?

Clearly a year of reductions - smaller size (the woods going is bad news as favourite venue & the glen going was unfortunate) but I will always support a local festival and come along whatever

Line up not great. Cuban Brothers terrible and totally inappropriate.
Gok Wan DJ type act set should be replaced by actual live music rather than celebrity playing music. So many up and coming live acts that would get the whole crowd more buzzing.
In the whole. Hoping for more events in the park in the future and wish for all the secrets to secure bigger names.
