Submotion Orchestra album launch review

I managed to go and see Submotion when they did their secret gig at Musiquarium in Leeds a couple of months ago. They absolutely rocked the place then and they didn't disappoint this time either. I knew it would be busy but the queue went round the block. Thankfully it went down pretty quickly. As soon as we got in the venue, you could feel the buzz and luckily got there just in time to get a drink before they came on.

As soon as they came on the crowd got going. You knew it was going to be a special gig. Goosebumps as soon as Ruby Wood came on, with her amazing voice which is as good live as recorded. Everything was so tight. Third track in was 'sunshine',(one of my favourites) also seemed like many others too. Time flew by as they played out their debut album. The crowd was friendly and really into it. They did come back to do one more track for an encore, people still wanted more. I bought the album on cd there and then and even got to have a little chat with Ruby as she made her way across the dancefloor.

I would recommend them to anyone, they have such a rich and varied influence on their music. All uplifting

We came up from Nottingham for the week-end , & the best part was The hi fi Central soul day , we had a great time met up with friends we have not seen for over 38 yrs , lets hope they do many more ........
