Hinsley Hall venue information
Built in 1867 by Wilson & Wilcox of Bath, this imposing hall opened in 1868 as the Headingley Wesleyan Methodist College. The clock was made by William Potts & Sons of Leeds and Cuthbert Brodrick submitted a castellated design for the building, although this was not used.
The College was used for training Methodist missionaries, who were then dispensed to Fiji, China, Burma and Swaziland among other far-flung places, to spread the Methodist word.
