For the third and final performance of our‘Sound of Musicals’concert tour, we are heading toOtley Courthouse,a superb music and arts venue just 10 miles from Harrogate. Join us for a most entertaining and uplifting Sunday afternoon of musical delights.
ABOUT THE CONCERT
The concert will take you on a stroll through the feel-good musicals of the 1940s, 50s and 60s, often known as the Golden Age Musicals. Our 50-strong choir will be bringing you favourites fromOklahoma, The King and I, The Sound of Music, South Pacific, A Chorus Line,to name just a few. But Harrogate Theatre Choir will also meander into the modern era with songs fromWicked, Sister Act, The Greatest Showmanand many more.
If you are a Musical Theatre fan, you are in for a treat!
The concert is supportingOtley Community Larder, one of the key projects of OTLEY 2030. The overall aim of OTLEY 2030 is to bring the town together to create climate-friendly and sustainable communities where people and nature thrive together.Otley Community Larderaims to reduce food waste by collecting surplus food from local retailers and distributing it within the local community.
‘Our aim this year is to raise funds for local charities that are important to the towns or villages in which we are performing, and Otley Community Larder fits the bill perfectly on this occasion’, saysHarrogate Theatre Choir’s Chair, Andrew Forsyth.
