Review of Chow Down - 8th July
We were looking forward to celebrating an occasion at Chow Down after hearing good reviews about the atmosphere. This was intended to be a food and drinks occasion, as the name suggests… however we were disappointed that multiple food items were sold out by the time we came to order, this was closely followed by no food items being available past 9pm. It would be helpful for this important piece of information to be made available at the point of booking so people know what to expect.
When the drinks arrived, the glasses given to us were not clean. These were replaced after we flagged this up.
The atmosphere were not as lively as expected. And I know that it is hard to control how busy the place is… however given the above experience, it just left us all feeling disappointed as we had high expectations for the evening.

Review of Chow Down - 2nd July
Service that was so appalling we didn't end up going. We booked for a Saturday that we couldn't attend - I wish I had never bothered. We went to the front desk to discuss how we could rearrange - no help whatsoever. Emailed the enquiries email address - takes days to respond with short unhelpful answers. As we had booked online, the attitude from the staff seemed to be 'we already have your money so there's no need to provide any more service'. I have heard the place has gone downhill recently and I can see why. No doubt a good concept ruined by greed and laziness.

Review of Chow Down - 2nd July
I was a bit disappointed. It was just a bar! I expected more of a festival/party vibe! It was just paying for a seat. We bought 32 tickets and 6 people didn't come! Even though we paid for the ticket they would not allow the free drink! Very annoying

Review of Chow Down - 2nd July
We were booked for 4.15pm, but due to the queues we didn’t get seated til after 4.30 which wouldn't normally matter but we only had the table for 3 hours. Very slow service, we didn’t get our welcome drinks until we’d had 2 drinks that we’d ordered. The girl servicing us said they were very short staffed.

Review of Chow Down - 19th June
A wonderful afternoon at Chow Down. The entertainment (The Silk Tones) were phenomenal, their music was really different to the usual live music and they were really entertaining. Service was good and quick.

Review of Chow Down - 24th June
Music was way too loud for 8pm. Couldn’t hear ourselves think let alone talk. Also didn’t recognise any of the music. I like a mix but when you don’t know anything and it’s so loud you can’t think it’s not good.
Prices were horrendously expensive especially to say you have to pay to get in.
Staff had trouble at the door finding my ticket on the system.
Left early won’t return.
