First con I've been to. Great atmosphere and loads to see. Only bought the 1pm Saturday ticket but would definitely get an earlier entry ticket next year as so much to see and do.

It was my first time going to Leicester Comic Con and I thought it was lovely.
I’ve been to the London one before and although it’s much bigger etc.
I found that the Leicester one is very family friendly and I seen a lot of children enjoying themselves and nerding out. I will definitely be taking my nephew and niece next time!
I understand that the layout of Athena is a little complex and unfortunately it was a tight squeeze with trying to get around and see all of the stalls but that is the only fault I can give. But even then, it’s fine as I found it to be such a lovely atmosphere and meeting people who are nerdy like myself was an absolute pleasure. Thank you for a wonderful weekend x

Fab day out. It is small enough to see everything, big enough to spend a few hours going round. Good selection of stalls. A couple of my favourite sellers were there again

Although the event is a good one.
The venue isn’t suited to it.
The organisers have done a good job of using the space and on paper it works well.

The reality for me was a highly anxious experience struggling with my children and a push chair. All the stairs and narrow walkways were a nightmare for me due to the volume of people and I almost left only having seen half the vendors.
I forced myself to carry on as my children were enjoying themselves. Although we didn’t stay for very long.

My 5 year old who couldn’t wait to go to the wampa ice bar was really disappointed and said “the Wampa ice bar wasn’t very good” (it wasn’t)
And £18 for 6 cupcakes & a brownie was a bit of a Liberty..
According to the person behind the counter There was a discount if you bought a box of six cup cakes. Although there wasn’t a sign, menu or price ticket anywhere to be seen I agreed to a box and almost died when asked for the money.

Other than that the rest of it was great.
The public turnout was brilliant and there was a great atmosphere.
I wish we could have stayed longer.

I hope the event moves to a larger venue in the future.
I understand the cost in a bigger venue and so I hope this isn’t taken as a bad review just I had a bad experience.

We will try again next year. (And leave the pushchair at home)

Brilliant atmosphere!
Fantastic to see all people dressed up as various Characters/Cosplays - really sets the mood. Lots of stalls to buy from and look at. Always a great day out.

This is the 4th year I’ve been to Leicester Comic con and I love it! The atmosphere is great! The people there are all lovely, the stalls are varied and I always find lots of things to buy.
