LEICESTER REVEALS LIMITLESS LOVE FOR HARRY POTTER • A new survey for ODEON Limitless reveals Leicester residents could watch the Harry Potter film series on repeat and never tire of it • To celebrate this, ODEON Leicester is offering ODEON Limitless card holders the chance to attend a special screening of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows – Part 2, alongside their supply of Limitless films Leicester has had a spell cast over the city by the classic Harry Potter series, as it is revealed today that they are the films that residents would most like to watch over and over again. The new poll from ODEON Limitless* saw the Harry Potter series voted the most popular choice of films to watch on repeat for those in Leicester, with almost a quarter (24 per cent) of respondents saying that they would choose to watch the fantasy series repeatedly out of a list of 100 of the most popular films of all time. Harry, Ron & Hermione’s adventures at Hogwarts beat stiff competition from the likes of Die Hard, which came in second place with 21 per cent of the vote, and other classics such as The Lion King and Dirty Dancing. The survey, conducted by ODEON Cinemas to celebrate its new Limitless card that offers limitless films for just £17.99 a month**, has uncovered Leicester’s film going habits, showing themselves to be soft drink slurping action junkies with a penchant for popcorn. The research revealed: • Over half (52 per cent) of Leicester film-fans favour action films over comedies, which came in a close second (50 per cent) and thrillers in third (45 per cent) place • An overwhelming 56 per cent of Leicester locals reach for popcorn to satisfy their cinema cravings over other popular food and drink, including soft drinks (47 per cent) and Pick ‘n’ Mix (24 per cent) • Cinema fans in Leicester aged between 25-34 are the most likely to have a regular date at the cinema with over 25 per cent of respondents saying they get to the cinema at least once every two weeks • Showing Leicester locals to be true cine-philes at heart, 44 per cent of respondents go to the cinema to catch the latest new releases, while a quarter (25 per cent) of respondents over the age of 65 revealed they primarily go to the cinema as a way to spend quality time with family To reward Limitless members, ODEON Leicester is hosting a perfect night of film for cardholders, featuring a special screening of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows – Part 2.
