Excellent evening.  Beautiful music which befits Lincoln Cathedral.

Review of Secret Symphony presents Interstellar

A brilliant event in a spectacular venue! The quality of the musical presentation was superb, with clearly accomplished musicians and vocalists. The only drawback was the long queue for the bar!

The venue was freezing cold - too cold to sit & listen

The venue itself is beautiful but it was absolutely freezing. We had paid for premium tickets but there was absolutely no organisation and by the time we arrived in the venue our seats had been taken by somebody else. When I asked one of the staff about this his response was to ask me if I had expected them to check every ticket - yes I absolutely did. If you pay for premium seats you expect to be able to sit in them.  

There was nobody checking tickets and the organisation was non-existent. The bar was a shambles and we were very disappointed.  Everyone working on the bar was a volunteer and was therefore not getting paid and this means that the company must have made a huge profit.  I therefore don’t think it was beyond the organisations capacity to actually provide heaters for the audience. 

I would definitely not go to another event organised by Skiddle and I would not recommend it to anyone else either. 



We thought the evening was overall pretty good, however the Cathedral was very very cold , why could not the heating be put on. Also once through the door and tickets checked it was a shambles in finding our seats. Also we would have liked some recognisable music, bur that was a minor consideration 

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Lincoln Catherdral. We were a mixed age group ranging from 23 years old to 54 and we all had a great time. The orchestra were fabulous and the singers superb! A varied range of music- and something to appeal to all tastes.
