Review of Day Release

Day Release easily straddled the line between past and present, offering a unique blend of nostalgic tunes with modern day house.
As an old clubber who misses regularly stomping out the stresses of life on the dance floor, its difficult to know where to land when it comes to raving, I have found my place at Day Release, the day started at 3pm & finished at 9pm, leaving enough time to visit the after party and still be in bed before midnight.

The event is aimed at the over 30s, but all ages are welcome, that mix of generations fused well upstairs at 24 Kitchen Street. While the sun shined through the sun roof, the atmosphere reminded me of the old days in venues like The Lemon Lounge, it was the perfect size to dance with a crowd of people, some you know, others you don't, but by the end of then night you all knew that you shared in creating that special energy together on the dancefloor.

Review of Day Release

Didn't really know what to expect of this as it's a new event but what I experienced was something my amazing. Like minded people, friendly atmosphere, amazing venue (helped by good weather even though it was indoors - smoking area acted like a terrace) OUTSTANDING music, all types of disco from all the DJs and we left while the sun was (just about) still up and got home no problems by 10! Monday morning up feeling fresh (slightly hungover but in a nice way) and out with the family all day. Great energy, great format, great people - when's the next one? Can't wait.

They cancelled the day party which we booked for and moved it to the night which we couldn't attend and they wouldn't give us a refund so won't be booking again. Really p!ssed off.
