In my opinion this was a terrible venue for this type of performance. All you could see was the back of peoples' heads. The stage was too low and it looked to me like there was plenty of height to enable a platform to be put on the stage to elevate the performers in order for people to have a clue what is happening on stage. I went outside for a cigarette and saw several people leave the event, and also saw people leave during the performance. Unfortunately I will not be spending my money on attending another performance at Kitchen St.

Can't give a rating for the music because we left before Yann Tiersen had even started his set; the reason being we couldn't see the stage while his wife performed hers because it's standing only and no elevation. Cramped, dingy flea-pit of a venue. £6 a pint aint exactly vale for money, and aint exactly conducive to enticing people out in these hard times. Toilets are cess pits. Paid £45 for tickets to stand and look at the back of other people's heads during the support act and £12 for two drinks before we decided enough was enough. How Liverpool City Council give this dump an Entertainment License is beyond me.

Unfortunately very expensive for what it offers. Needs more security on the doors to prevent fights and unticketed customers. Experienced abuse from another customer and there was no help available.
Unfortunately despite loving these events normally, I would not recommend following this experience.

Great vibe, great crowd, amazing DJs, good ticket price for brilliant performance from DJ’s… poor service on bar-not enough staff to manage demand & I waited 1/2 hr to be served each time I went to bar (3x)too much time lost on dance-floor, not enough toilets-only 3 women’s cubicles in lower level & filthy by 10pm… queue for bar & toilets massive :((

Best party in the city, music is perfect & the atmosphere is 2nd to none
