Review of Gwenno

Fascinating psychedelic folk rock. Gwenno’s set includes some guy with strange electronic music set to a film of flying geese. It got a bit boring in the end. Her film ‘Tresor’ reminds me of 16mm hippy films from the 1970s. Quite strange. The DJ set by Stone Club, set to a film of megaliths, was intolerably loud. The venue staff kindly supplied ear plugs which enabled me to stay. Gwenno has a lovely voice and, with earplugs to diminish the ramped up base, it was possible to enjoy her set. There was merch but no-one selling it. Do buy the album.
