Review of The Heavy North 'Fire In The Furnace' Album Launch Show
Once again The Heavy North deliver an impressive set drawn from their earlier recordings. Used as a launch for their new live album the group were in top form and joined on vocals by the gifted Rosalie Galvin and Molly Fryo, who showcased their talents on the Stones cover Gimme Shelter. Jack Birch played lead guitar in the absence of Jose and provides a new edge to the sound. THN are a group who should be getting a wider audience and I hope the new album will get plenty of airplay.

Review of The Heavy North 'Fire In The Furnace' Album Launch Show
Great nights entertainment from three excellent live bands. Heavy North is one of the best bands I've seen in a while and the support acts show that live music really is still alive in this city!

Review of LIVERPOOL - Jacaranda Baltic
Didn't start off great as we were told it was open and we could go down only to witness a band doing a sound check and then a member of staff told us they weren't open yet so all a bit confusing to start with. Music great although struggled to hear what some of the performers were singing including the main act due to the mix of the instruments being much louder than the vocals. Bar somewhat expensive £5 for a 330ml can of desperado, can't remember what pint prices were and the queue to the bar was lengthy with what seemed like minimal staff. Decent little venue though and I'd definitely return for the atmosphere alone
