This is the Kit spread warmth through the austere, intimidating surroundings of Liverpool Anglican cathedral. Trance like guitar and vocals lifted the crowd and took them to a great collective experience. Kudos to the inexperienced support band Pet Snakes too

It was my first gig in Liverpool since December 2019 and it was great to be back! I’d seen This Is The Kit before, at Leaf in 2015, and was looking forward to hearing their latest material performed live. As expected, Kate and the band didn’t disappoint in the very atmospheric Anglican Cathedral. They also had a lot of fun on stage between the songs which sounded so good in this special setting. A nice set from the support, Pet Snake, so overall a great evening! You just can’t beat live music!

Great band, atmosphere and venue. Long queues for drinks and maybe some seating at the back would be good. Support act also excellent.

An amazing space for this performance - even though the building is so vast and the arches to the roof go on forever, both Kate/ This Is The Kit and PetSnake (support) created an intimate atmosphere that drew the crowd together. This Is The Kit are a wonderful band and their multi-layered, flowing and nuanced music worked incredibly well in such an extraordinary space.
