Review of Fiesta Bombarda Palm House Carnival
Dub pistols were fabulous. Loved them. The fact that the gig was walking distance too was brilliant. Toilets at the palm house sorting though. Not enough women’s toilets and the queues were too long

Review of Fiesta Bombarda Palm House Carnival
We arrived two hours after the start time and were hugely disappointed by the music and atmosphere which was not what was advertised. The music was TERRIBLE. Waste of £20.

Review of Cinema In The Palm House Valentine\'s Special
I have long been a supporter of Independent Liverpool, but I was a little disappointed in this event. The movie was great and the Palm House is an amazing venue, but I was promised a 'specialist gin and prosecco bar', and 'amazing food', which was to be in addition to the presence of desserts from the Midnight Delivery. The bar seemed to be just the Palm House's own, which was not nearly well-stocked enough to be called 'specialist', and wasn't especially well-run, with the young staff appearing a little overwhelmed. Moreover, though a small point, drinks were served in cheap plastic cups, which detracted from the 'classy, romantic night out' vibe that the event (and most of the guests) seemed to be going for. Since everyone's drinks are served in glass at the gin festival and other regular Palm House events, I can't see a good reason for this.
I went so far as to check by telephone on the day of the event that there would be food on offer as my wife and I finish work too late to eat first. I was told that the Nacho Guys would be there. On enquiring at the bar I was told that in fact the Midnight Delivery was the only food offering. I enjoyed Casablanca, but I'd have enjoyed that on my couch. I was left with the overall, and disappointing, impression that on this occasion Independent Liverpool had over-promised and under-delivered

brilliant event, loved the setting, loved Alan Cross the singer who warmed the audience up nicely and Casablanca is a classic. Brilliant evening and thoroughly enjoyed, looking forward to more.
