Great fun. Had a fantastic time. Both entertainers were fabulous, friendly, charming and made everyone welcome and included.

Times were confusing on ticket. Start time said 7pm but music started around 8:30p. Music was worth the wait though. An enjoyable evening overall.

About

WELCOME TO THE PHILHARMONIC DINING ROOMS IN LIVERPOOL divider.png THE MOST ORNATE PUB IN ENGLAND Built between 1898 and 1900, our flamboyant pub is a dazzling showpiece built in the style of a gentleman’s club. Constructed for the brewer Robert Cain, the building was designed by local architect Walter Thomas, working with craftsmen from the School of Architecture and Applied Arts at what is now the University of Liverpool. Outside the pub, our stunning metal gates are amongst the finest Art Nouveau work in Britain – and the interior is just as impressive: spread over five floors, each of our rooms is beautifully decorated with a musical theme. No visit is complete without a visit to our famous gents’ toilets – not a claim many pubs can make! We’re also part of the city’s rich musical history – Buddy Holly performed here, as did Paul McCartney (as seen on James Corden’s The Late Late Show). Locally known as The Phil, our pub was said to be one of John Lennon’s favourite bars. If that’s not enough music for you, the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall is just over the road.
