The Room & Mike Mooney double header at Rough Trade, Liverpool

Liverpool post-punk pioneers The Room are back with a new album and celebrate with a launch at Rough Trade Liverpool. A melodic blend of progressive, alternative pop and sultry post-punk, which is just as fresh and relevant now as it was when they first broke up in 1985.

The Room are joined by Merseyside legend Mike Mooney. Mike has had a storied career in the music business, over the years he has had stints in Echo & The Bunnymen, The Psychedelic Furs, Spiritualized and The Wild Swans to name a few. Renowned for his incendiary guitar work and distinctive style this is a rare chance to see him with his own band.

This show sees Mike play with his full recording band and reunited with Wild Swans drummer Steve Berwick.
