Polly Paulusma plays a stunning show of songs accompanied by Jon Thorne (Lamb, Yorkston Thorne Khan) on upright bass to celebrate the release of her latest album 'Wildfires'.
Together Paulusma and Thorne will bring you songs from across Paulusma’s repertoire of six studio albums to date released since 2004 on Bjork’s label One Little Independent.
A truly immersive experience, her latest album ‘Wildfires’ has been produced by acclaimed record producer Ethan Johns (Laura Marling, Ray Lamontagne, Ryan Adams).
The musical connection between Paulusma and Thorne is something to behold; together they swoop and glide through songs from all of Paulusma’s albums, but especially 'Wildfires' which Thorne also recorded with Paulusma -- combining their trademark bawdy humour and anecdotes with deep songs that touch on love, loss, grief and philsophicalenquiry.
Ali Horn is a singer, writer, producer and performer based in Liverpool, UK.
With years of collaboration under his belt he decided to branch off on his own into the unknown. His first singles were picked up by BBC6 Music with Liz Kershaw deeming his track ‘Dreamers’ her ‘Track of the year.’ In July 2021, Ali released his debut LP ‘Balcony Boys’ to the world, released on Loominance Records.
Balcony Boys’ is an upbeat, eclectic record that ties together Horn’s rainy, minimalist psychedelia. Confronting the ugliness and inevitability of contemporary life, this album meets it all head on; with rye wit, the willingness to lose and the willingness to love.
