About

LIPA: Live At The Cavern
LIPA: Live At The Cavern is an event hosted by The Cavern Club in Liverpool. It showcases up-and-coming artists in the Liverpool / North West scene, with performances by artists and bands from all genres. LIPA: Live At The Cavern is focused on allowing said artists a platform to express themselves via their music, and give them the opportunity of a lifetime with the ability to play at one of the world's most infamous gig venues. LIPA: Live At The Cavern is directed and managed by three management students from the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, using their experience and connections to make the event possible. Allowing for one of LIPA's most collaborative events, bringing all sides of the institution together for the benefit of the audience.

Broadsheet Speak

'Broadsheet Speak' are a 4-piece alt-rock/post-punk group. Blending influences from a multitude of acts such as BCNR, Radiohead, The Last Whole Earth Catalog, King Krule, and many more, the use of three different songwriters in the band is key to their unique and ever-changing sound. For the last year they’ve been gigging all over Liverpool, and now aim, while recording their debut EP, to branch out to other parts of the Northwest.

Linn
Linn is a 21-year-old singer-songwriter from Norway, currently based in the UK. Exploring the sounds of Jazz, R&B and Soul within her music, Linn's writing reflects on topics like mental health, love and self-discovery. Her amazing six-piece band brings her songs to life, creating a unique Jazz fusion sound. Together, they value authenticity and spontaneity in their performances, crafting energy and style that draws comparisons to artists and bands such as Amy Winehouse, Pink Floyd and iconic Jazz singers like Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald. As an emerging band in the Liverpool scene, Linn and her band are eager to get on stage and share their journey and music with the audience.

The Tusks
The Tusks are a 4 piece rock band based in the Liverpool area. The band met at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and all study on the music course. Their main influencers are Oasis, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Arctic Monkeys & The Strokes. The members are comprised of Joe Ryder on lead vocals & rhythm guitar, Alfie Cubitt on bass and backing vocals, Zong-Xu Steinhoff on drums and Dan Edwards on Lead guitar. The band blends elements from the 90's and 00's British rock and indie scene and gives it a modern twist so their material remains fresh and exciting.
