Review of Lee Butlers Bottomless Beats Brunch
If there hadn't been the amazing music (mainly Robbie Edwards for me) which created a great atmosphere and staff who were very friendly and helpful. All DJ's even circulated the room and had pictures and chatted with everyone.
I would not have enjoyed this "Bottomless Brunch" (using this title loosely) if this positive interaction had not happened.
Their version of Bottomless Brunch was a square tray that consisted of Sausage Rolls, Southern Fried Chicken Drumsticks, Tortilla Wraps, Mini Brioche Buns & Sandwiches.
Having been to other Bottomless Brunches and this had to be the most "Beige Buffet" type of food with little presentation. I'm not a snob, I've just never been to a Bottomless Brunch that had chicken drumsticks on before.
It was the bottomless drinking time period that was a shambles and the main factor as to why I gave the thumbs down. I appreciate the music and ratio of staff to serving customers couldn't have supported taking orders from the tables and bringing over drinks.
But having to go to the bar with your empty cup after each drink to be topped up was ridiculous. Others may see this as a positive as it could give more variety on drinks. However, queuing to get your cup filled back up meant you spent that time getting your drink then going back in the queue to get another.
A suggestion would be offering an option of bottles/jugs put on the table (wine/prosecco/c**ktails) would have been more beneficial (for me anyway). Replacing or putting the full quota on the table at the start.
