Fan of Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers than this one is for you.
Expect 2 sets of funk and soul classics by Stereorose with many classics alongside some stand out originals plus vinyl DJ’s in between.
Stereorose is a collaboration between Georgie Weston and Limbo Days (Elliot Gaspar)
Both growing up in small towns in the north of England either side of the Pennines, Georgie, from Yorkshire (representing the white rose) and Elliot from Lancashire (representing the red rose) came together to merge their love of Soul and Funk into a fresh groovy project, inviting vinyl D.J’s and exciting special guests from the region to join them on stage.
They begin their monthly residency at the Jacaranda Club in Liverpool (the birth of the Beatles) this October as part of an all new night called Funka-Fi.
I guess you could say they are the literal meaning of Northern Soul, two northerners playing soul music.
