Review of Manu Delago Handmade
I was aware of Manu's work before attending the event but was interested to hear and see what sort of show he would do bearing in mind his wide ranging work including classical pieces and as part of Bjork's last tour amongst others. I have to say i was pleasently surprised. He seemed to bring in influences from classical, avant garde, pop, electronic and maybe even slightly industrial. It was also nice to see some vocal tracks aswell as purely instrumental pieces. You could tell the band were enjoying the gig and it was an intimate feel with the audience. Sadly the Kazmier is closing and the site will be redeveloped at the beginning of 2016. I enjoy the sound of the hang drum and would encourage people who aren't familiar with it to seek out Manu's work and indeed others aswell. The sound of Bassoon and violin from the band aswell as the electronic sounds made for a memorable night. I picked up a copy of his latest cd which i'd encourage people to seek out though his earlier work maybe a gentler introduction for some. His work with the LSO on the 'Manuscripts' album is worth tracking down to see the breadth of his work.
If you are looking for something different and go along with an open mind Manu and the band will more than fullfill your expectations.

Glass Aminals at Kazimier, Liverpool
Kazimier is one of the best gig venues I've ever been to and Glass Aminals topped it out with an amazing, passionate and energetic performance. Best band in best location. Couldn't ask for better. Totally recommend.

Womenfolk at the Kazimier Liverpool
Kathryn, Maz and Georgia were great - a delightful trio of the best folk talent, especially considering they only got together on the day - BUT the venue was unheated and freezing, causing many problems for the performers, who had been there longer setting-up in appalling conditions. In the second half they had to perform in winter coats and gloves lent by the audience. The Kazimier is usually one of the best small venues in Liverpool - cozy, intimate and friendly, but something was very wrong last night - it would have been warmer outoors in the Kazimier Garden at the back, as that is well-heated

First time at The Kazimier
Last nights M.O.P concert was so much better than i expected, an hour long set of some of the duo's best tunes. Awesome atmosphere and crowd participation, plus being able to stand 3 feet in front of them made the whole experience so much better. And as expected the whole place went insane when Ante Up got played. I've waited many years to see them live, and i hope to see them again in the near future.........AMAZING
