About

In the heart of Liverpool’s Ropewalks, The Shipping Forecast stands taller than the rest by seamlessly combining food, drink and live music, to create an all-round good time vibe. Far from the days of Flares & Wonderbar (when apparently afros and flares were the only way to party), The Shipping Forecast opened its doors in 2010 and fast became known as the ‘the new kid on the block’, offering Liverpool everything it needed all under one, very large roof. People knew they could come in at 4pm on a Saturday afternoon, have a burger and a bloody Mary, and end up dancing until 2am, as the venue slowly transitioned from cosy and relaxed to bold and proud. Housing many a talented artist over the years, the former shipping warehouse has seen everyone; from local legends Clean Cut Kid, to international DJs such as Disclosure, Mark Ronson and Hot Chip. Nowadays, The Shipping Forecast is firmly rooted in the Ropewalks community, as well as the heart of Scouser’s everywhere. Offering consistently tasty grub (including the best fried chicken this side of the water), non-pretentions, non-hipster service and a different beer/ale every time you walk through the door, The Ship has failed to lose the charm and appeal it started out with in 2010
