Toxteth Fire Fit Hub

Fire Fit is a health initiative, launched by Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service, to encourage people to participate in physical activities and lead healthier, safer lifestyles. Each Fire Fit activity is based directly in the heart of communities, most of them delivered in the street or from a community fire station. Some of the activities are boxing, tag rugby, cage football, gym sessions, healthy cooking programmes and reading sessions. Fire Fit also has its very own mobile climbing wall and the Fire Fit Families Assault Course - a fire & rescue service themed mobile inflatable obstacle course suits people with different levels of physical ability. Fire services across the country are already delivering activities that inspire their local communities to improve their health and wellbeing and Fire Fit aims to bring all of these initiatives together to create a legacy for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
