Mark Laflin's fascination with the theatre organ began at an early age. His musical journey saw him pursuing classical organ studies as a teenager, followed by an education at the prestigious Royal College of Music and the University of Oxford, where he served as the organ scholar at Keble College. Under the guidance of several distinguished organists, Mark honed his skills and continues to perform and appreciate the classical organ repertoire.

After a hiatus, Mark reconnected with the theatre pipe organ and now maintains a busy concert schedule. His dedication to the instrument is evident in his two albums featuring the Tywyn Wurlitzer and the Clayhall Compton, both closely associated with the Cinema Organ Society. His music has gained widespread recognition, being featured on the BBC and several online podcasts, notably Hotpipes and The Organist Encores. Recently, Mark became the resident organist for The Organist Encores, where his specially recorded music is frequently showcased.

Currently, Mark serves as the Director of Music at Kingston Grammar School and is the Cinema Organ Society's Safeguarding Officer for the Southern District. Outside of his musical endeavors, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, Faye, and their two children.
