I only attended the Nikki Iles duo concert within the Jazz Piano Series. Nikki played beautifully (as always) - exciting, melodic and inventive. And what a formidable duo with Tom Farmer on bass. Great playing and the two of them together complementing each other brilliantly - so in tune with each other. I thought it was a lovely programme with a good mix of styles. This was the first time I had been to the 1901 Arts Club and what a lovely intimate venue it is. And so friendly and really interested in the music. I have signed up for emails and certainly hope to attend future concerts.
