"Sonny Landreth is probably the most underestimated musician on the planet, and also probably one of the most advanced" Eric Clapton
Award winning guitarist Sonny Landreth apprenticed with zydeco king Clifton Chenier's Red Hot Louisiana Band and a host of other roots artists before releasing his debut solo LP 'Blues Attack' in 1981.
His innovative guitar techniques have opened doors to new sonic textures and a complex tonal vocabulary. Sonny Landreth can be heard on hundreds of recordings with artists such as Mark Knopfler, John Hiatt, Gov't Mule, Jimmy Buffet, John Mayall, Little Feat, Johnny Winter, Beth Hart, Eric Johnson, Dion & Eric Clapton.
Sonny Landreth performs three exclusive European solo shows as a January Blues festival exclusive.
