About

January Blues Festival 2025 presents
THE ANIMALS
+ special guests: GENO WASHINGTON & THE RAM JAM BAND
+ Host/DJ: SNOWBOY

January Blues Festival are proud to present The Animals, with original founding member John Steel performing the band’s greatest hits including House of the Rising Sun, Don’t Le Me Be Misunderstood, We’ve Gotta Get Out of This Place, Baby Let Me Take You Home, Bring It On Home To Me, It’s My Life and many more which helped make The Animals one of the biggest groups in the world during the 1960’s.

The Animals were the second British band to top the American charts
after The Beatles with the now multi-million selling and legendary anthem, House of the Rising Sun. The band subsequently achieved over twenty global Top Ten hit records, many of which gained the #1 slot in various parts of the world. In Britain alone, the band had no less than twelve chart entries.

John Steel - Drums
Danny Handley - Vocals/Guitar
Barney 'Boogie' Williams - Vocals/Keys
Roberto Ruiz - Bass

Geno Washington & The Ram Jam Band formed in the mid-1960's releasing the massive selling LP's 'Hand Clappin, Foot Stompin, Funky-Butt ... Live!' (1966) and 'Hipster Flipsters Finger Poppin' Daddies' (1967).

Geno Washington was immortalised by Dexys Midnight Runners with their #1 hit single 'Geno' (1980).
