Review of Michael Bibi - The Giveback - 2nd Date
The venue layout in the sense of atmospher and music was amazing. 26 leake street is a tunnel- small, intimate, and helps channel the music. Micheal bibi is a talented artist, and the event managers are lucky to secure him ( as shown by putting on a second day). However, the individuals who run the event, aka who organise the bar, are appalling. It is obsurd that in London in 2018 you must pay for more and more bottles of water. This is the first event I have been to where there isn’t refills of water. Due to the venue being small, it was extremely hot in the tunnel, meaning I spent £30 on bottles of water for myself and others. There were people sitting by the bar feeling faint, and no staff helping them with water. Firstly, causing people to re buy water is a waste of plastic, secondly the water bottles were £3 for a 200ml ( appalling rip off) and thirdly, water is a human need thus once buying a bottle there should be jugs for a refill.
I hope you can take my complaint onboard, and understand I do not feel this affects my enjoyment of Micheal bibi as I will continue to attend his shows. I will however check with the venue first to see if they admit a similar policy to water, and if they do, warn the people buying tickets that they are being ripped off whilst polluting the environment!
Would be nice to hear a follow up email. Thank you
