Review of City Splash Festival 2024
Always a fun time at City Splash.
However, food and drinks are terribly overpriced, especially when you attend with Children.
The stage sound systems could have been much better, as we could hardly hear anything at the back of the crowd.
On the plus side, great performances from the artists. Great vibes, even though the whole venue became one massive mud swamp.

Review of City Splash Festival 2024
City Splash - Brockwell Park 27 May 2024
Dear All,
Please accept my constructive feedback, which is given for the intention of making this annual event successful for those that attend and those involved in organising and entertaining.
The queue and waiting time for accessible entry was unsatisfactory, despite myself and others waiting patiently. By the time I got to the front I felt very unwell.
An improved processing system should be considered with stewards going down the line and scanning barcodes from people's phones and issuing wrist bands. Then people go through to the tents where about 4/6 desks are for the checks to be done.
For the entire group of people that attended there could have been a bit more respect given since it was known by organisers that it might rain. Large simple tents could have been put up near the stages. Though these wouldn't have accommodated everyone at a particular stage, it would have helped. The same click together plastic flooring that had been made into a path at the accessible entrance, could have been used in some areas too. Together these two ideas would have helped to prevent an extremely muddy surface which was sinking and becoming more muddier and difficult to walk on as revellers stepped on it.
The severe mud made it difficult for people to fully enjoy themselves and though revellers made the best of it, there were many verbal complaints about the muddy condition which definitely did impact on the enjoyment and also on the response to the entertainers who wouldn't have had any idea how difficult it was for their fans and other supporters. It was very uncomfortable.
The mud badly soiled everyone's shoes and clothing was really soiled going up the leg almost to the knee. When people were sitting at the tables and others walked by the mud splashed them even moreso and even onto their faces - I literally witnessed this and people then wiping mud off their faces!
It was soo slushy that it was hard trying to hold ones shoes on their feet as it became like sticky quick sand. Then towards the entrance there was an uphill part which everyone had difficulty getting up.
For disabled people and those in wheelchairs, using walking aids and with mobility issues, like myself, the conditions only made it much more arduous. Disabled and non disabled people were falling.
It just was lacking for people who had paid for their tickets to have a good time. This was like Glastonbury where a lot of these types of people do not go.

Review of City Splash Festival 2024
The music was mediocre apart from the main stage. It was an absolute mud slide the whole way and I ended up being more focused on staying upright than having a good time. The grass should have been treated to avoid such huge mud puddles, especially where the organisers would have known it was going to rain. They could have also handed out shoe covers to everyone. People also barged their way into the event and security let it happen. So for those who paid good money to just have a mud bath, others got the experience for free. Was an absolute shambles!
