Review of Oktoberfest on the Common - Evening Session - Friday 11th Oct
Did not like beer selection and the fact that a pint was served in a paper cup, like having a cup of tea on a train. The staff refused to pour in it a glass, even though I was happy with it being half full. The Hell beer did not taste like German beer but typical 'British lager', ie quite tasteless. The event would suit a group who wanted a 'different' atmosphere than normal and weren't choosey about the beer.

Review of Oktoberfest on the Common - Evening Session - Friday 11th Oct
The place was over half empty and not really a proper reflection of the actual oktoberfest. Seemed more like an opportunity to make some quick money. Very disappointing.

Review of Oktoberfest on the Common - Evening Session - Friday 11th Oct
What a waste of money. Worst band on the planet. No effort whatsoever to make it the slightest but authentic. Tent half empty and cold. Plastic glasses. No decoration. Sausages were actually ok but choice of food was limited to those.
Serious waste. Don't go.

Review of Oktoberfest on the Common - Evening Session - Friday 11th Oct
Very disappointed with this event for so many reasons.
Segregation of VIP seats and 2nd class visitors outrageous.
Bar staff can't pour beer, constantly overflowed paper cup and wasted.
No atmosphere, not a cozy or original feeling, not for mingling, chatting or laughing. Only deafening sub standard band dominating everything. Should have had a mock German street design with different "garden" areas . More like a drunken circus.
Whole thing had a childish aspect to it.

Review of Oktoberfest on the Common - Evening Session - Friday 11th Oct
Such a fun evening and very professionally run. The music was off the scale good. From oompah to pop and singalongs. Great drinking games, too.
Going back next week dressed in Bavarian gear. Got to be done.

Review of Oktoberfest on the Common - Evening Session - Friday 11th Oct
DJ kept cutting out the music - all the interaction was to the VIP seats so anyone further back couldn't hear a word he was saying which was a shame. Everyone in the "standard" seating area was very confused why the music wasn't playing continuously. As soon as we got into a song, it stopped for no reason!

Review of Oktoberfest on the Common - Evening Session - Friday 11th Oct
Ridiculously overpriced for what it was. A large tent with one bar and a sausage stand. VIP area blocked off access to the stage/music/dancefloor so you couldn't see the entertainment and just basically standing in a very noisy tent in the middle of a field for £35!!! Absolute rip off
