Review of BLACK DOG: London Dog-Friendly Premiere + Q&A with Cast

A very heartfelt film of the life of Lang and a stray dog, released after 10 years in prison for the manslaughter of his motorcycling colleague and friend. Set just before the 2008 Beijing Olympics, in a stark North Western Chinese town, derelict and abandoned by the inhabitants provides the backdrop for the touching story of two lost souls finding each other and their shared journey. The protagonist, Lang, barely has any dialogue, his first word uttered at about 18 minutes and second approximately 26 minutes. If he has more than 10 lines of dialogue, I'll be surprised!
