The play centres on Maggie Frisby, once the roaring voice of 60s counterculture, as a band’s youthful dreams of anarchic rebellion break down into bitterness. Broke and disillusioned, Maggie carries the story through a night driven by booze, fury and a voice that refuses to die.
Written by David Hare, Teeth 'n' Smiles is described as a play with original music. It revisits a story first staged 50 years ago at the Royal Court.
